Myla Garcia, CHW, (Ohkay Owingeh), is UNM NABPI’s first state-certified tribal community health worker. She supports NABPI with data management and research support. In addition, she leads the institute’s domestic violence, crisis prevention, and public safety initiatives. She has worked in the field of management and community engagement for more than 15 years.
