Tybur Q. Casuse-Driovínto

Tybur Casuse-Driovínto, Ph.D., (He/They) is a Post Doctoral Fellow with the Intermountain West Transformation Network in the Interdisciplinary Sciences Co-op at The University of New Mexico (UNM). They have an educational background in environmental engineering and electrochemistry from UNM which was focused on water quality. They spent a year in the local government of Albuquerque after their PhD working on a cumulative impacts map for the county.
Tybur’s current work focuses on engineering elements of environmental self-determination, and indigenous data sovereignty. They are currently developing research which integrates community voice into quantitative identification of environmental concerns. This work includes workshop methods, mapping technologies, and data management to co-generate a multidimensional environmental index which identifies areas at the intersection of environmental hazards, social determinants of health, and health impacts.
