Barbara Gutierrez is a member of the Navajo tribe and a senior at The University of New Mexico. She is majoring in EMS (Emergency Medical Services) and recently completed the paramedic program at UNM’s EMS Academy. Her ultimate goal is to attend medical school and serve her tribe. She hopes to continue engaging in research to benefit the tribes and improve Native health.
