Undergraduate Research Assistant & Data Specialist
Crystal Gamboa (Albuquerque, NM) is an undergraduate student at the University of New Mexico and a Research Assistant and Data Specialist with the UNM Native American Budget & Policy Institute. Her work focuses on Native American populations, disability data, maternal and prenatal health, early childhood outcomes, opioid data, and environmental factors that impact community health. She is currently pursuing a minor in Public Health, with a focus on public and population health in underserved and tribal communities. She is particularly interested in the intersection of language, health, disability, and access to culturally and linguistically appropriate services. Crystal is pursuing a career as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and hopes to work as a traveling SLP, serving diverse and underserved communities.
