Policy Analyst & Tribal Liaison ECECD

Mark Hume (Navajo/Laguna/Zuni) is a policy analyst in early childhood education policy, with a focus on Native American policy development. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of New Mexico with a double major in political science and history. He is working toward a master’s degree in public policy. Hume is an alumnus of the University of New Mexico’s evaluation lab and has worked on evaluation projects with PB&J Family Services, Explora!, and with New Mexico First Born Home Visiting. He is currently working in the New Mexico Early Childhood Education & Care department as a policy analyst for the assistant secretary for Indian early education and tribal liaison.
